Responsible Gaming at phdci

At phdci, we believe the best gaming experience is one that stays fun, controlled, and within your budget. We are committed to giving every Filipino player the tools, information, and support needed to keep gambling a safe form of entertainment — not a source of stress or financial harm.

Responsible gaming is not just a regulatory requirement for phdci — it is a core value. We know that the vast majority of Filipino players who enjoy our platform do so responsibly: they set a budget, stick to it, and treat every session as entertainment rather than a way to make money. But we also know that for some players, gambling can become problematic. When that happens, phdci is here to help.

This page outlines the practical tools phdci provides to help you stay in control, the warning signs of problem gambling to watch out for, a short self-assessment you can use to check in on your own habits, and the support resources available to you as a player in the Philippines. We also explain phdci's 21+ age restriction policy, our self-exclusion program, and our alignment with PAGCOR's responsible gaming framework.

Whether you are setting limits proactively or seeking help for a gambling problem that has already developed, phdci's responsible gaming tools and support channels are available to you around the clock. Kaya mo 'yan — and we are with you every step of the way.

Player Protection Tools

Built-in controls available in your phdci account settings — use them anytime, at no cost

Deposit Limits

Set a maximum daily, weekly, or monthly deposit cap directly from your account settings. Once a limit is set, it takes effect immediately. Increases to limits are subject to a mandatory 24-hour cooling-off period to prevent impulsive decisions.

Loss Limits

Cap the maximum amount you can lose within a set time period. When your loss limit is reached, phdci will automatically suspend your access to real-money games for the remainder of that period — no override, no exceptions.

Session Time Limits

Set a maximum session duration for your gaming activity. phdci will display on-screen reminders as you approach your limit and automatically end your session when the time is reached. Keeping sessions short helps maintain a healthy play balance.

Reality Check Reminders

Enable periodic pop-up reminders during gameplay that display your session duration, total bets placed, and net balance for the session. A quick reality check every 30 or 60 minutes keeps you grounded and aware of your activity.

Take a Break (Cool-Off)

Need a short break without fully closing your account? phdci's cool-off option lets you pause your account for 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During a cool-off period, you cannot deposit or place bets — but your account and balance remain intact.

Self-Exclusion

If you need a longer break or believe you have a gambling problem, phdci's self-exclusion program allows you to close your account for a minimum of 6 months or permanently. Self-exclusion takes effect immediately and cannot be reversed during the exclusion period.

21+

Strict 21+ Age Policy

Under Philippine law and PAGCOR regulations, a minimum age of 21 years is required for all real-money casino-style gambling, including online platforms. phdci enforces this requirement strictly and without exception. All players must complete identity verification (KYC) before accessing real-money games, and phdci uses a combination of automated checks and manual document review to confirm that every registered player meets the age requirement.

Any account found to belong to a player under the age of 21 will be immediately closed. All gameplay will be voided, all winnings forfeited, and deposited funds returned to the original payment method. phdci also cooperates fully with PAGCOR and law enforcement in any investigation related to underage gambling. If you are a parent or guardian and suspect that a minor in your household has accessed phdci, please contact our support team immediately at [email protected].

Self-Exclusion Program

A meaningful pause or a permanent stop — you decide

01
Short-Term Exclusion

Exclude yourself for 6 months. During this period your account is locked, marketing communications are suspended, and you cannot deposit or play. Ideal if you want to step back and reassess your habits.

02
Long-Term Exclusion

Exclude yourself for 1, 2, or 5 years. phdci will retain your account data but block all access. Reinstatement after a long-term exclusion requires a 7-day waiting period and written confirmation.

03
Permanent Exclusion

Close your account permanently. This action is irreversible. All remaining funds are returned to your registered payment method. phdci will never contact you for marketing purposes after permanent exclusion.

To activate self-exclusion, go to Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Self-Exclusion in your phdci account, or contact our support team via live chat. Self-exclusion takes effect within minutes. During the exclusion period, phdci will also remove your contact information from all promotional lists. You will not receive bonus offers, newsletters, or re-engagement messages.

phdci strongly encourages any player who feels they are losing control of their gambling to use the self-exclusion tool without delay. It is free, immediate, and confidential.

Warning Signs of Problem Gambling

Recognizing these patterns early gives you the best chance to regain control

Gambling with money originally set aside for rent, groceries, bills, or family needs
Chasing losses — betting more to try to recover money you've already lost
Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when you are not gambling
Lying to family members, friends, or employers about how much you gamble or how much you have lost
Spending increasing amounts of time and money on gambling despite promising yourself to stop or cut back
Borrowing money — from friends, family, banks, or loan apps — specifically to fund gambling activity
Neglecting work, school, or family responsibilities because of time spent gambling
Using gambling as a way to escape stress, depression, loneliness, or other emotional difficulties
Feeling guilty or ashamed after a gambling session, but continuing to gamble anyway
Repeatedly trying to quit or reduce gambling without success

Recognizing one or more of these signs in yourself or someone you care about is an important first step. It does not mean you are a bad person — it means you may need some support. phdci's responsible gaming tools and the resources listed below are here to help.

Quick Self-Assessment

Answer honestly — this is for you, not anyone else. No answers are stored or transmitted.

Q1 Have you ever gambled more than you planned to — either in time spent or money wagered — during a single session in the past month?
Q2 Have you ever tried to win back money you lost through gambling by playing again immediately after a losing session?
Q3 Has gambling ever caused conflict with someone important to you — a partner, parent, sibling, or close friend?
Q4 Have you ever skipped a meal, an important appointment, or a family event because you were gambling or thinking about gambling?
Q5 Do you feel a strong urge to gamble when you are stressed, bored, or going through a difficult time emotionally?
Q6 Have you ever hidden the amount you gamble or the extent of your losses from people who care about you?
If you answered "Yes" to two or more questions: This does not mean you have a gambling disorder, but it is a sign worth taking seriously. Consider activating a deposit limit, scheduling a cool-off break, or reaching out to phdci support or one of the resources below. The earlier you address a potential problem, the easier it is to manage.

phdci and PAGCOR's Responsible Gaming Framework

phdci aligns its responsible gaming practices with the framework established by PAGCOR for licensed online gaming operators serving Filipino players. PAGCOR's responsible gaming guidelines require operators to implement age verification, player protection tools, staff training, and cooperation with treatment referral networks. phdci meets or exceeds all of these requirements.

phdci also participates in PAGCOR's responsible gaming awareness programs and supports the broader goal of making Philippine online gaming a safe, regulated, and socially responsible industry. If you have concerns about phdci's compliance with responsible gaming standards, you may raise them directly with PAGCOR through their official channels.

Tips for Keeping Gaming Fun

  • Set a gaming budget before you start — and treat it like an entertainment expense, not an investment.
  • Never gamble money you cannot afford to lose, including bill money, emergency funds, or borrowed money.
  • Take regular breaks. Step away from the screen, stretch, and reset your mindset.
  • Keep track of time. It is easy to lose track of how long you have been playing.
  • Do not gamble when you are tired, stressed, emotionally upset, or under the influence of alcohol.
  • Treat each game session as independent. Past losses do not mean a win is "due."
  • Balance gambling with other activities you enjoy — time with family, exercise, hobbies.
